Established in 1983, the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council or CAVC provides quarterly briefings by Veteran Administration personnel; streamlined support efforts; celebratory event coordination, and is a centralized resource repository for military veterans and their families in the tri-state area including Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

          The CAVC will hold its 28th Annual Awards Banquet at the Waldon Club on 1 March 2019. Oustanding individuals will be recognized with the presentation of the Charles H. Coolidge Veteran of the Year Award, the Charles H. Cooldige Associate of the Year Award and the Milton Thomas Award.
          Many Bears Grinder, Temmessee Army National Guard Colonel (retired) and former Tennessee Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Veteran Services will be the guest speaker. (See COL Grinder's full biography in the Jan 2019 CAVC Newsletter) 
Veterans; auxiliary members; active duty, reserve and guard personnel
as well as civilians are invited to attend.
